This solid Parawood table will look great in your modern dining room. The thick stoic lines will add visual interest to an open concept home.  The table is made to look like it has a 1-1/2" think top.  It is actually a 3/4" top with another solid wood layer on the underside.  This solid wood banding runs 4" in from the edges.  This not only strengthens the table top and reduces warping, but it also reduces the overall weight of the table.
